Volunteers

Volunteering at Glengallan is a rewarding experience as you interact with people who likewise value and celebrate the nature and history of this place and are committed to its success as a heritage tourism and special events venue.

Volunteer experiences:

In the House
Meet and greet visitors to the Homestead. A comprehensive self-guide tour book contains all the information and frequently-asked questions but some visitors like to interact with our guides to share interesting anecdotes and information that can be entered into a set of contacts books for owner descendants and Glengallan farm workers.

Be a Garden Gnome
Keen gardeners can assist with dead-heading of our extensive rose gardens, seasonal pruning and spring planting.

Join the Archives Group
Assist with collation and compilation of registers and computerised databasing of our extensive Collection which includes artifacts, documents, photographs, digital and audio visual record. Our archives volunteers work under the direction of the Glengallan archivist, using the Mosaic collections database program.
